Payment Reminder Text Message FAQs

  • What’s included in the text message?
    For privacy reasons, the text message just includes the day and time your payment is due. No personal information (name or loan amount) is included. For example, a payment reminder text message may read like this: "From Moneytree: Your payment is set for today at 3pm PST, (4pm MST). Cash payments can be made prior to that time. Call 888.394.0148 with questions. Thank you!"
  • How do I repay my loan?
    You can pay your loan by allowing your check or ACH payment to be deposited in your bank, visiting any branch to make a cash payment, or making your payment online at moneytreeinc.com.
  • How do I sign up for payment reminder text messages?
    It’s simple! We just need your cell phone number. Visit any branch to provide us with your number or call Customer Service between 6am and 11pm PST, seven days a week at 877.613.6669.
  • Are the text messages secure?
    Yes. We don’t include any personal information in the text message and you won’t receive any unsolicited text messages.
  • Will I receive the text messages on my phone?
    You will receive the payment reminder text messages if your carrier supports text messaging. Check with your carrier for details.
  • Will I be charged for the text message payment reminders?

  • How much notice will I receive that my loan payment is due?
    Customers will receive a text message one day prior to the loan due date.
  • How many text messages will I be receiving for my upcoming loan?
    Moneytree will send one payment reminder text message.
  • Can I reply to the text message if I have a question or need more time to repay my loan?
    The text messages are automated so if you have any questions, please call Moneytree Customer Service between 6am and 11pm PST, seven days a week at 877.613.6669.
  • In the past I’ve received telephone calls and voicemail reminders. Are those going away?
    If you’ve provided Moneytree with your cell phone number, you will not receive a telephone or voicemail reminder. Customers that have not provided a cell phone number will continue to receive recorded reminder phone calls.
  • What do I do if I prefer a phone call reminder instead of a text reminder?
    Please let your teller know during your next visit, or call Customer Service between 6am and 11pm PST, seven days a week at 877.613.6669.
