What do I need to apply?

A payday loan is a short-term loan between today and your next payday. Apply online or find a Branch near you.

As part of the short application process, you’ll need:

  • ID and Tax identification number (Social Security number, ITIN, Alien Registration number)
  • Your address and phone number(s)
  • Your source(s) of income
  • An open checking account

Due to limitations imposed by the Military Lending Act, Moneytree does not make loans to "covered borrowers," a term which includes active duty members of the military, their spouses and dependents.

Washington law requires that you have not taken out more than eight (8) payday loans from a Washington-licensed payday lender during the prior 12-month period.

Moneytree establishes credit limits for first-time Washington loan customers based on:

  • State Law - state statutory maximum credit limits
  • Loan Application - information from your loan application
  • Credit Reporting Agency - information about you received from a Consumer Reporting Agency

For a payday loan, you can borrow any amount up to your loan limit. Your loan limit may change if any of the above changes.

Moneytree, Inc. is licensed by the Washington State Department of Financial institutions. Licensing information is available upon request. Moneytree is registered with the federal government as a Money Services Business (MSB).

If your check or ACH returns unpaid, you will be charged a one-time $25 fee. You can reach Moneytree's Payment Center at 1-888-516-6643 for more information.

If you are unable to pay your loan when it is due, Moneytree offers a payment plan. You must request a payment plan before the deposit time on the day your loan is due. If the amount you owe is $400 or less, you can enter into a payment plan to repay in substantially equal payments over 90 days. If the amount you owe is more than $400, you can enter into a payment plan to repay in substantially equal payments over 180 days. There is no charge to enter into the payment plan. You will not be eligible to take out a payday loan from any Washington licensed lender until your payment plan is paid in full.
