On Halloween night in 1983, brothers Dennis and Dave Bassford and Dave's wife, Sara, opened the first Moneytree Branch, still located at its original site, in Renton, Washington.
What started with three people providing check cashing services at a single location has since expanded to hundreds of team members offering a variety of financial services throughout California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada and Washington.
Over the last 40+ years, Moneytree has helped countless customers get the cash they need quickly and easily, whether it’s covering an unexpected expense with a consumer loan, cashing a check without the hassle of bank holds, purchasing a money order beyond traditional banker’s hours or wiring funds in minutes throughout the US or around the world.
