Responsibilities include check cashing, processing loans, money orders, Western Union and other transactions; preparing daily reports and statements; using the point-of-sale software; and, accurately balancing a cash drawer on a regular and consistent basis.

Payment Coordinator (Checks) - Collection Rep-Checks


In this role, as the Collection Representative - Checks, you will initiate and respond to customer contact in order to collect outstanding checks and business loan debts. You will provide each caller with exceptional customer service; you will support the success of the department and you will contribute in a positive manner to a work environment that is professional, productive and safe.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, successfully negotiating payment of returned checks with makers and payees; meeting all criteria and standards when accepting and processing payments; meeting call volume targets; and, keeping portfolio up to date, and assisting on other portfolios as needed. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include: 
  • 5 + years of collection experience
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Excellent listening and communication skills; attentive listening, good grammar, voice and diction; ability to present information effectively
