What is a payday loan?

A payday loan is a short-term loan between today and your next payday.

Why do people choose a payday loan?

Many people choose a payday loan when they need to pay for unexpected expenses, avoid late fees or cover temporary reductions in income.

How often do people typically borrow money?

A Payday Loan is a short-term loan to cover an occasional, unexpected cash shortage between paydays. A Payday Loan does not provide the kind of help intended if used repeatedly to the point of incurring additional debt. We recommend that you investigate other financing options if you are planning on borrowing money beyond your next payday.

How do I qualify for a loan?

While loan requirements vary slightly by state, in general, to qualify for a payday loan you must have:

• Verifiable income
• Verifiable contact information
• Active checking account (A checking account is not needed in ID or NV)

In Colorado and Nevada, we also need written proof of income.

How does Moneytree determine how much I can borrow?

State laws regulate the amount of money that can be loaned. Within that limit, Moneytree qualifies you to borrow only an amount you can reasonably repay from your next paycheck based on your current income and the information you provide on your loan application. Once your loan limit is determined, you may borrow any amount up to the limit for which you qualify. Your loan limit may change if your income changes or if our ability to contact you changes. To see the loan amount available in your state, please visit the payday loans page.

Does Moneytree vary the loan fee based on my credit rating?

Although banks and other financial institutions charge varying rates depending on a customer's credit-worthiness, Moneytree charges a standard rate to all customers.

Does Moneytree check my credit report as part of the loan application process?

No, Moneytree does not review your credit report. We base our lending decision on your ability to repay your loan.

If I apply online for a loan, how do I receive my loan?

As part of the online loan application process, you have three options for receiving your money:

1. Immediate deposit onto your Cash Solution PIN Debit Card (which is also your Moneytree ID card);
2. Direct deposit into your bank account (which typically takes one business day for receipt); or
3. Pick up your cash at the nearest Moneytree branch.

If I apply online for a loan, when will I receive my loan funds?

It depends on how you choose to receive your loan proceeds.

If you choose to load your funds onto a Cash Solution PIN Debit Card, your funds will be available immediately upon loan approval. We can electronically deposit funds onto any Cash Solution PIN Debit Card seven days a week.

If you choose to have your loan electronically deposited into a checking or savings account, it will take up to one business day from the time your loan is approved until you receive your funds. We can electronically deposit funds into a checking or savings account Monday through Friday.
