In 2007, Moneytree began supporting the Students in Free Enterprise Program (SIFE) at Heritage University, in Toppenish, Washington. Program participants learn skills to become young entrepreneurs while making a difference in their communities. Recent projects include: initiating a micro-loan project, conducting financial literacy workshop and creating a series of “Successful Entrepreneurs” radio programs.
SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is a global, nonprofit organization open to all Heritage students. SIFE offers students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, thereby improving the standard of living for millions in the process. Guided by faculty advisors and supported by businesses, SIFE teams teach important concepts through educational outreach projects, including market economics, entrepreneurship, personal and financial success, and business ethics to better themselves, their communities and their countries.
